Gary Abrahams directs this live script reading of the new feature film The Wolf of Rostov, an international Holocaust-themed thriller unfolding set in Melbourne. Play reading will run for 2 hours with intermission.
Melbourne 2001 — Two filmmakers, Josh Lenska and Kate Walsh collaborate on a story that will finally expose a man responsible for the deaths of over a hundred thousand Russian Jews; one of the dead being Josh’s mother Ada.
Josh is an investigative reporter, obsessed with uncovering the whereabouts of Wolf, a man responsible for the slaughter of 15000 Jews in Rostov Russia between the end of 1942 to Feb 1943. Josh's father, Sol, is one of two survivors to this massacre.
The Wolf of Rostov is a powerful film about the pain and secrets we keep and tragedies we create. It seems the holocaust will never end.
