Victory

Victory

Israel of 1967 is completely absorbed in its post-Six-Day War euphoria. These are also the glory days of Neta Agmon, who has left her humdrum life on the kibbutz and moved to Tel-Aviv to chase her dream of becoming a famous actress. As she becomes increasingly wrapped up in grandeur and her newfound success, she fails to see the love of her life has returned from war a different person. Victory blends a variety of musical influences and artists to explore PTSD and the human costs of war, often ignored in euphoric victories.

With thrilling choreography and musical numbers, it moves through the patriotic music and songs of the 60’s to the grittier sobering satirical works of Hanoch Levin, presenting a tour de force of the complexities of war and the Israeli experience. A Star is Born meets the Israeli reality in this giddy original musical.
