“The best drama on screen right now” — NRG
Writer Kateb draws on his own experiences for his depiction of the turbulent daily life of a young Israeli-Arab and his family. But the more successful his satirical TV series becomes, the more Kateb feels alienated from his alter ego.
Skilfully written by Israeli-Palestianian author, Sayed Kashua (Arab Labor), this series offers an autobiographical account of Kashua’s own experiences living and working in Israel, and adeptly observes the reality, and personal toll, of a hybrid Israeli-Palestinian existence. Screened in the Special Series Selection at Berlinale.
