This film is a wordless, musical tribute to the main themes in the life and work of Polish-Jewish artist, activist and World War Two political cartoonist, Arthur Szyk (1894–1951). The themes covered by Szyk’s work were primarily the ideals of American democracy; the horrors of Nazism; the tragedy of the Holocaust and the rebirth of the Jewish people in Israel. Szyk was a leading visual voice in New York during World War Two against the Axis powers. Screening with The Lady in Number 6.
