My Daughter. My Love (Biti Ahuvati)

My Daughter. My Love

Shimon (played by Karaoke’s Sasson Gabay), a 70-year-old widower, travels to Paris to visit a childhood friend who is having health issues. He is staying with his daughter Alma who also lives in Paris with her husband and one-year-old baby. Shimon suspects something is amiss, he attempts to investigate the marriage issues believing his son-in-law to be at fault, until he discovers a much more complex truth.

Shimon stays with Alma to help pick up the pieces, in the process, reconnecting with his daughter in new and unexpected ways. He finds out that both him and his daughter share both dreams and desires of which they had been previously unaware. Nominated for Best Actor and Best Screenplay at the 2023 Ophir Awards, this is a touching portrait of a father daughter relationship.
