Inspired by true events during the 1942 Nazi occupation of Poland, Love Gets a Room is a romantic tale of love and survival in the face of harrowing circumstances, with a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The film opens in the Warsaw Ghetto as a troupe of actors prepare to perform Jerzy Jurandot’s musical comedy Love Looks for an Apartment. Tonight's performance is different, because Stefcia’s former partner, Patrik, has informed her that he has arranged for them to flee the ghetto. As the show goes on, Stefcia grapples with the choice - to leave behind her family and her new love, or escape knowing this may be her only chance. Featuring excerpts from Jurandot’s play and songs by Emmy-winning composer Victor Reyes, this award-winning film offers insight into a little-known aspect of life in the Warsaw Ghetto.
