“A powerful, often uncomfortable scrutiny of machismo.” - Variety
Rashi has been a police officer for 16 years and is always in control. But his world is thrown into disarray when he is accused of sexual assault and suspended from the force due to his conduct during a standard police check on some privileged boys. While defending his innocence at work, he finds himself clashing at home with his step-daughter who is as assertive and stubborn as he is, defying his authority. Helpless and chained by his need to dominate, Rashi becomes a danger to himself and his loved ones.
Winner of the Best Israeli Film and Audience Awards at the 2019 Jerusalem Film Festival and nominated for the Best Film, Director and Actor 2019 Ophir Awards, Chained is a powerful drama about love and power that features intense and utterly authentic performances.
