“Paints a carefully non-judgmental portrait of Yigal Amir.” – The Hollywood Reporter
In 1995, Yigal Amir assassinated Yitzhak Rabin and became the most hated man in the country. Orthodox Jew and Russian emigrant Larisa Trembovler marries Amir and gives birth to his son, but Amir will never be released from prison. All these years later, Trembovler remains devoted to her husband, Amir remains unrepentant, and the citizens of Israel remain furious at the man who tore the country apart.
This highly controversial documentary was nearly banned due to the sensitive nature of the subject matter. The film premiered at Hot Docs, and was in competition at the Jerusalem Film Festival.
