“...[a] thoroughly distinctive Israeli film” — The Guardian
Middle-aged Moshe is in search of his wife’s lost earring, and starts his quest at the foot of Haifa’s winding staircase. Meanwhile, poet Uri descends the stairs to board a ship that will whisk him away from his problems. Encountering a diverse cast of neighbourhood characters along the way, the two men cross paths as their otherwise mundane undertakings are instilled with greater meaning. Navigating Haifa’s distinctive mountainous landscape, this existential comedy won three 2015 Ophir Awards (Israeli Oscars): Best Script, Best Editing and Best Sound Design.
