“The film gives a "West Wing"esque behind the scenes look at key historical events” – The Los Angeles Times
The second part of the Prime Ministers film adaptation, Soldiers and Peacemakers examines Prime Ministers Rabin and Begin from a unique insider perspective. On the 20th anniversary of Rabin’s assassination, the film uncovers previously untold details, shows unseen footage, and gives fresh perspectives of this tumultuous time.
Yehuda Avner was both a key witness to and participant in Israel’s history: speechwriter to Prime Ministers Levi Eshkol and Golda Meir, advisor to Yitzhak Rabin, Menachem Begin and Shimon Peres, and a top diplomat who served in the USA, Great Britain and Australia.
Avner, who passed away last year, narrates the film, with the Prime Ministers themselves voiced by Michael Douglas, Christoph Waltz, Leonard Nimoy and Sandra Bullock.
