Russian Jews: Film Two—1914 - 1948 captures a 30-year period of significant Jewish participation in every domain of Soviet political and cultural life including Leon Trotsky's role as the founder of the Red Army; artist Marc Chagall's early career; the first Soviet popular music stars; writers, with Isaac Babel in the lead, and other figures and fates, without which the grandiose Soviet ‘project’ is impossible to understand.
Bialik Button Project
In 2007, students of Bialik College were inspired to create a memorial to the child victims of the Holocaust. Ten years and 1.5 million buttons later, they unveiled a commemoration to the 1.5 million Jewish children murdered in WWII. This documentary follows the inspiring journey; with interviews from students, teachers and contributors to the meaningful project.
